Feeling Blessed is an app that allows you to give whenever you have an Alhamdulillah moment. We believe that the highest level of gratitude is to be cognizant of our blessings and share them with others. Imagine how many of the world’s problems would disappear if we gave, even if a small amount, whenever we said ‘Alhamdulillah’, the first word of the Quran.
Our team is virtual, headquartered out of Austin, Texas. You can reach us at [email protected]
While Feeling Blessed can host online fundraisers, that’s not our primary goal. Donations are only accepted for registered, pre-vetted nonprofits eliminating the guesswork for donors.
Instead of giving when solicited, we enable YOU to choose when, whom to and how much to give to, whenever you’re feeling blessed. The app allows you to never miss an opportunity and be able to do so in a few seconds with funds reaching the charity instantly.
We are committed to growing the Muslim donation space. By leveraging technology, we want to make the act of giving so simple that it silences the voice that tells you to donate later, or worse, not at all. Our tech is built for the ummah to give more and have a greater impact on changing the world for better.
Your security is of utmost importance to us. Our app is based on modern security standards and we take your security and privacy very seriously, going above and beyond to ensure that your payment information is safe.
All payment data is processed by Stripe, a globally trusted (Level 1 DSS PCI compliant) payments company. Your financial information never touches our servers. We send payment data directly to Stripe’s PCI compliant servers through SSL. Our infrastructure is served via HTTPS, so that your smartphone only communicates with our server over a secure channel. The app does not retrieve any additional data other than what you give us when donating which is shared with the nonprofit you donate to. Unintentional donations will be returned immediately. Should you have a question about your online payment, please contact us at [email protected]
Unfortunately, no. Feeling Blessed does not support PayPal however you can use Google Pay, Apple Pay, all major credit cards and even bank transfers which are highly preferred due to the low fees.
Donations are tax deductible in many countries including the United States and Canada. For US donors donating to 501(c)(3) nonprofits, receipts emailed by Feeling Blessed can be used for tax purposes.
For Canadian donors donating to nonprofits registered with the CRA, receipts issued by Feeling Blessed cannot be used for tax purposes. Please contact the charity to receive a CRA compliant receipt.
Nonprofits themselves register on Feeling Blessed and connect their bank accounts on the backend. Using Stripe for payment processing, we charge your card to deposit payments directly to the nonprofit's bank account. If you use your bank account to pay, it’s like transferring money through Venmo or Zelle. We use the same technology Venmo does for bank transfers.
If you include the fees when you donate, 100% of your donation goes to the nonprofit. How each nonprofit allocates funds is up to their discretion.
Of course. You can cancel it anytime by following the instructions in your donation receipt. If you have an account on Feeling Blessed, you can edit or cancel it there too.
Credit card companies and banks decline cards for many reasons. Unfortunately, we cannot resolve the problem for you. If your card is declined, please contact your credit card company or bank for help completing your payment.
Feeling Blessed charges a small fee to sustain operations. This is 2.5% of the donation amount however it is capped at $50* per transaction and waived for:
- Micro donations of $10** and less to encourage frequent giving
- Zakat donations
These waivers bring down our average fees to 1.3% across the platform.
Credit card or bank processing fees are separate. Since they are charged by our payment
processor Stripe, we don't have control over them. In the US & Canada, they range
anywhere between:
- 3.5% for Amex cards
- 2.9% to 2.2% + $0.30 for non-Amex cards
- 0.8% capped at $5 for bank transfers
Stripe fees in the UK are:
- 1.4% to 1.2% + 20p for European cards
- 2.9% + 20p for non-European cards
What you're seeing as processing fees on your donation despite marking it as Zakat is
the payment processing fee charged by Stripe.
Please let us know if this was helpful or if you have any other questions.

Of course. UK taxpayers may Gift Aid donations to UK charities for any donations they make by indicating it at the time of donation. If you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on your donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay any difference.
